Required Skills for Dev position
· Knowledge of or demonstrated experience with LAN/WAN communication interfaces, Ethernet layer 2, layer 3 technologies, ATM and MPLS, E-OAM/EVC, Layer1 technologies such as Sonet/APS, T1/E1/DS3
Or
· Knowledge of or demonstrated experience with Device Driver development in Networking Platform including Bring up of HW, Debugging Software at HW level ( register programming, timing, clocking etc)
Or
· Knowledge of microcode development on a Network processor based platform such as IXP. Knowledge of working on uCode on Cisco Platform will be added pluse.
· Strong C programming skills and familiarity with large software development projects in an UNIX or IOS environment including experience with source code control systems, make, debuggers, etc.
· Motivated self-starter with good communication and organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver superior products in a cross-functional team environment under aggressive schedules.
· MS/M.Tech in CS/CE/EE or equivalent , we will consider BE/B.Tech with more experience;

Typically requires MS EE/CS combined with relevant years of related experience, or BSEE/CS combined yrs related experience
- Domain skills in networking technologies namely L2, L3, IP QoS, Broadband technologies, IP services, L4-L7 services
· Experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer having experience in applying testing methodologies, create test plans, execute & automate test cases; perform system testing, bug tracking and report generation for software features & enhancements
· Layer 2: Hands-on experience with L2 Switching protocols like VLAN, STP, MSTP, RSTP, LACP, trunking
· Layer 3: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, ISIS, MPLS, QOS, Traffic engineering, Policy Based routing, PIM,Gateway routing protocol, VRRP, DVMRP
· Languages: TCL, iTCL, Perl, C , C++
· Traffic tools: IXIA, Spirent, Smartbits, Agilent Router Tester, QA Robot, Cisco PagentTest
· Harness: Cisco ATS, ATS Easy, eARMS
· Interop: Exposure to Juniper, Foundry, Nortel, Cisco 7200, 7600, Catalyst 6500, GSR, CRS routers. Debugging exposure in areas of packet flow, kernel, memory, SNMP, XML, hard ware rate-limiting, Control Plane Policing
· Hands-on experience testing Cisco switches or routers using autotest , ATS EASY, is a plusExperience Required: 3 to 10 years
